Our New Writing Project

What all can writing be used for?

We posed this question to students at the Writing Center to start our new writing project. Each group came up with (or will come up with) a list of everything they could think of that involved writing. Here is a sample of some of the responses the students came up with so far:

• Stories
• Birthday cards
• Mitzvah leaves
  
• The Morning Message
• Homework
• E-mail
• Directions
• Grocery lists
• Words on a birthday cake

After the students in each group brainstorm, the group will choose together something from the list to do. So far, one student has come up with our Morning Message for Monday's Morning Meeting that we wrote out. Two more students have started composing e-mails to their parents!
