"Words can make you cry . . ."

Sylvia Miller, our school counselor, came to chat with us about using appropriate language. As kindergartener Mollie told us, "There are words we shouldn't use at school." Mrs. Miller reviewed this concept with us, reminding us that negative "bathroom" language can leave us and our friends feeling sad and embarrassed. Menashe added, "Words can make you cry!" So what did we do at the end of our discussion?

We closed our eyes, got a "potty"word in our heads, and then one-by-one we whispered our word into the trash can. This is exactly where those words belong! Finally, we closed the can and placed it outside the classroom. Mrs. Miller taught us that Hashem gave us two ears, two eyes and two nostrils--but only one mouth--so our words need to be appropriate at all times.
